U.S. 10K Classic

Well, I just finished running the U. S. 10K Classic, deemed America's GREATEST 10K. At least it's probably, without a doubt, the greatest on Labor Day in Atlanta.

Cobb Parkway, if you didn't know, is like a roller coaster, UP and down and UP and down and UP and down... (you get the picture) several times each mile.

OK -- I walked a little -- you knew that. It was tough!

Those who finished in under an hour got a medal. My time = 1 hour, 1 minute and 47 seconds. MAN! Missed that medal by 1 minute and 47 seconds -- and I didn't even stop for tee shirts!

I'll defiantly run it again. Probably make it an annual event -- GREAT RACE, GREAT SPONSORS! Publix does a great job as a race sponsor.

Maybe next year I'll get the medal.

Will take tomorrow off.
