The term BLOG is a portmanteau, or, in other words, a blend of the words web and log. A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries (as this one). A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

ING Cheering Zones

Best I can figure,
we should hit Piedmont Park,
mile 23,
about 10:45 a.m.
THAT is a GREAT Cheering Zone
and by then,
WE'LL NEED IT!

Runners are encouraged to invite their family and friends to cheer them on from the two designated ING Cheering Zones along the route, located in Decatur Square and Piedmont Park. Spectators, be sure to “Orange Up!” and cheer your friends and loved ones. ING Cheering Zones will supply plenty of inflatable noisemakers and “Go Runners!” signs. All you do is provide the enthusiasm and noise!

The other ING Cheering Zone is on the square in Decatur
(Corner of East Ponce and Clairmont Road)
between miles 9 and 10. We should hit that about 8:35 a.m.

Family Reunion Area

Finishers of the ING Georgia Marathon & Half Marathon can reunite with friends and family at the Publix Family Pavilion. The Publix Family Pavillion will be situated in the World of Coca-Cola Plaza near intersection of Central Avenue and MLK Jr. Drive.
