Great Run. Felt good. 3.5 miles. No pain.

Puny run. 3 miles, 1 at 8.3, 1 at 10, and 1 at 12. Felt pretty wimpy this morning. That's about all I could muster. Had some kind of virus thing over the weekend with aches and chills, upset stomach, etc. Tomorrow will be better.

GREAT 6+ mile run. Felt good. So much nicer to run on Saturdays when there are no time restrictions...

4.5 mile run. Still sore in the left hip area and right groin area. I ate this a.m. prior to my run. I think that helped to give me a bit more energy.

5 miles at an 8.3 minute mile. I have come to believe that stretching is to running what reading your Bible and prayer is to being a Christian. VERY IMPORTANT! I can not a marked improvement in endurance and performance when I stretch properly prior too and following a run. However, I have to continually drill this into my head because I forget easily as I do with my prayer life and reading my Bible. It makes a HUGE difference in life...

GREAT RACE on Saturday. A personal best (PB) for a 10K of 52.43. But I still want to try to get in under 50 for seeding for the Peachtree. Will try again in a few weeks on the Silver Comet Trail.

Ran 3 miles at an 8.3 minute mile today.

Recently we camped out at the Grand Opening of a Chick-fil-A near our house. For doing this we both received coupons for 52 Value Meals. About $300.00 worth of FREE food a piece! CFA has done this for the past 2 years at all of its Grand Openings. It was a lot of fun and we plan to do it again in September.  Posted by Picasa

My honey gave me the BIGGEST card I've ever seen for Valentines. He also gave me a wonderful box of chocolates. So WONDERFUL in fact that I gave him the very same box! On top of that I hid his box of candy in the same closet that he hid mine. AND, they were BOTH in the same kind of shopping bag. How weird is that???

Logged another 3 miles this afternoon. That makes for a respectable 7 for the day although not all at one time.

6 mile run yesterday only 4 today. Tomorrow will be an off day because of the race on Saturday. I generally take the day before and after a race off.

GREAT RUN today! Only 4 miles but at a moderately quick pace. Pretty good considering all of the junk and carbonation I consumed this weekend. I've been doing longer runs on the weekends because time permits more so than during the week. I take Sundays off and start afresh on Mondays with a short quick run building daily throughout the week until I reach a peak on the weekend. Seems to work for me. I can tell a difference just in the last month in both speed and endurance. I will try again on Saturday to post a better time for seeding for the Peachtree.

Great run - 8 miles, especially at 5 in the afternoon. Not my best time to run. I like early mornings better. I believe I have developed blisters, some bruising, under both my toes next to my little toes. I guess I'll loose those nails too in the next week or so. They are somewhat painful. I have a race to run (10K) next Saturday to hopefully make better on my qualifying time for the Peachtree Road Race in July. I hope my two toes are not going to be a bother. I'll take tomorrow off and just do a short run on Monday increasing my distance throughout the week until Thursday. I generally take the day before a race off so Friday will be an off day also.

The Way I See It... Posted by Picasa
Didn't really feel very good this morning. Only ran 3 miles, 2 10-minute miles and 1 8.5-minute mile. I got very little sleep last night, only caught a couple of winks. My stomach is not happy with my mouth, too much turkey and dressing yesterday. I think the dressing was suspect. There may be a problem here with portion control.

The Way I See It

The coffeehouse has long been a center of discussion, creativity and thought. Now on most Starbucks coffee cups you can read the "The Way I See It" series. You can submit your own philosophical thoughts for "The Way I See It" in writing -- just pick up a form at your local Starbucks -- OR, online at www.Starbucks.com/wayiseeit. I submitted mine in writing this week. It is as follows:

"The evidence of reality is inconceivable to one who closes his mind to truth."

Maybe we'll be seeing this on a Starbucks coffee cup real soon.

AMAZING

It's truly amazing how much BETTER you can see with your contacts in the correct eye!

GREAT RUN!

Great Run this morning. 10 miles. The first 6.2 (10K) in under 53 minutes. Felt good. Could have run further.
